About

I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and have been licensed both as a Psychologist and a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years. I am a nationally certified Group Psychotherapist. I did my undergraduate and post-doctoral work at Stanford University.

For over 20 years I've had a private practice in Menlo Park, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, as well as a providing consultation to other mental health professionals. I have been serving as the Psychological Consultant for a Division I Stanford athletic team for many years. I have been a faculty member of UCSF Medical School, where I ran process training groups for psychiatry residents, and of California Pacific Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry, where I taught Group Psychotherapy to psychiatry residents and Psychology post-docs. I currently run process training groups for Stanford Psychiatry Residents.

I have been very active in the American Group Psychotherapy Association, serving for several years on their Institute Committee and leading process groups for psychotherapists at their annual meetings.

What I ask of my clients is that they be curious about themselves, be willing to look within, and bring with them sufficient internal motivation to engage in this challenging work.  In return, I bring extensive personal and professional experience, an objective perspective, compassion, and a commitment to be authentic, honest and straightforward with you.  Together, we will create a "team" devoted to one thing-- assisting you in accomplishing  the quest(s) you bring with you.
